Performance Cycle Program
PacWest’s performance cycle program is now 100% virtually coached.
This fully coached program is designed to accommodate all level of riders and provide a fun social interaction while working out (via Zoom video connection) that you can’t get when utilizing the other trainer software apps like Zwift, Rouvy, Fulgaz, TrainerRoad, Wahoo RGT, etc. If you train with one of those apps, it is important to understand that this program is intended to compliment vs being a replacement. However, for those who are not using a trainer app then this is a great twice-a-week program to add to your training.
One of the key to the program is that all participants (beginners to veterans) can utilize any type of bike trainer – from expensive “smart” trainers that integrate with a bike computer or phone app and show power (watts), cadence (RPM) as well as heart rate (HR) or a less expensive non-smart trainer (fluid, magnetic).
The workouts are predesigned and based on either your FTP (functional threshold power) or RPE (rate of perceived exertion). Interval Zones are based from 1 to 5 with low, mid and high sub zones additionally utilized. Example, HZ2 = High Zone 2.
We now have two workout options: 50 and 75-minute classes.

What You Need
- Bike that you are properly fitted to
- Bike trainer. Trainers can be “smart” or non-smart
- Cycle shoes
- Water bottle(s)
- Sweat towel(s)
- Bike computer (optional)
- Computer or tablet with access to Internet and Zoom video conferencing app
